The Wilderness Adventure was a scrapped episode of The Ren & Stimpy Show. It was going to be made for the show's first season, but was rejected several times by Nickelodeon for unknown reasons. The episode was cancelled, and was going to be planned for Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" on the cable network Spike (back when they were TNN), but was scrapped before production began.
Characters[]
Voice Actors[]
- John Kricfalusi as Ren.
- Billy West as Stimpy (original series version of the episode in the storyboard)
- Eric Bauza as Stimpy (Adult Party Cartoon version of the episode)
- Michael Pataki as George Liquor
Trivia[]
- This episode was going to be in Adult Party Cartoon, after Nickelodeon kept rejecting it from the original show's production. Unfortunately, it was once again never animated or planned as an episode due to the reboot being cancelled since it received very poor reviews from newer and older fans of Ren & Stimpy.
- This episode, along with the original version of "Fire Dogs 2", were supposed to be made for Nickelodeon, but were never made for the channel since they refused to begin production on these two episodes. As a result, "Fire Dogs 2" was placed for the Adult Party Cartoon block, and this episode was never produced.
- The storyboard for the rejected episode, however, was completed in the 90's and one of the ideas would later used in the second season episode "The Great Outdoors".
- Billy West voices Stimpy in the original version, even though it was rejected by Nickelodeon in the 90's several times during the old show's production run.
- The storyboard versions can be found on YouTube, but the length of the episode was shortend somehow.
- Michael Pataki was to reprise his role as George Liquor, but due to "Man's Best Friend" being banned (which forced Nickelodeon to fire John from his own creation) George Liquor was removed from the show after season two.
- The mosquito scene in this episode's storyboard was reused near verbatim on "The Great Outdoors".
