"The Cat That Laid the Golden Hairball" is the 15th episode of season 2.

Plot
Ren goes to watch TV, but is disgusted by the amount of hairballs around the house. However, he soon finds out from a news flash that hairballs are becoming more and more valuable, soon expected to be more valuable than gold. He soon sets up a factory for hairballs: Stimpy makes the hairballs (licking off his fur in the process), Ren checks them for quality, and Bubba puts them into boxes. However, Stimpy soon runs out of fur to lick off. Ren lets him lick off his hair, but it doesn't work. They also have him lick off Bubba's hair, but that doesn't work either. Bubba goes inside Stimpy's body to investigate, He looks inside Stimpty's Body for Hours, And soon Founds Stimpty's Hairball Gland, He and Ren then finds that the Hairball Gland is Broken, They both begin to Cry as Stimpty closes to death, But soon the Episode's Over, And they Begin to Dance to the Celebration.

- This episode was based off a fan-made comic.
- On the Paramount DVD, the footage of Stimpy licking fur off his belly was removed.
- This is the third episode of Season 2 in which John K. doesn't voice Ren for the entire episode and is also one of the few in which he receives no credit.
