Stimpy's Pregnant is the sixth and final episode of Adult Party Cartoon. It never aired on Spike TV, along with "Naked Beach Frenzy" and "Altruists".
Characters[]
- Ren Hoek
- Stimpy
- Mr. Horse
- Nurse Sheep
- Pig Police Officer
- Little Ricky
- Wolf
Summary[]
When Stimpy becomes pregnant with a poop baby (named Little Ricky), Ren teaches him about parenthood and being a mother.
Plot[]
Stimpy becomes pregnant with Ren's baby, causing Ren to at first abuse, and then respect Stimpy as a partner. Ren is at first disgusted with Stimpy's pregnancy, as he is forced to deal with his incessant loving moments with his child, such as attempting to explicitly dine for two. When Stimpy goes into labour, Ren is forced to start a driveby with other people on the highway. With help from the police, Ren and Stimpy successfully get to the hospital, where their child is delivered by Dr. Horse, only to learn that Stimpy was just constipated, although Dr. Horse does not have the heart to tell the anticipated "parents" this and so the waste is made to behave like an infant male, and was named "Little Ricky".
Trivia[]
- This is the final production in the franchise that creator John Kricfalusi was involved with, at least in terms of completed productions, before becoming blacklisted by the animation industry in 2018 following the wake of sexual harassment allegations.
- This episode never aired on Spike TV or TNN.
- However, it aired on MTV Latin-America in an unknown date of 2006 along with "Naked Beach Frenzy" and "Altruists".
- This episode was originally planned for the original series, but Nick dropped it (probably because it wasn't meant for kids).
- This episode is very similar to the older episode, "Son of Stimpy". Both episodes involve Stimpy treating his rancid excrement like a newborn child.
- The license plate on Ren's car reads CLMPTT, a reference to Bob Clampett.
- One of the cars driving in front on him has a license plate named C. JONES, a reference to Chuck Jones. Also, the truck's license plate is AMID, a reference to Amid Amidi, owner of the controversial animated news website Cartoon Brew.
- Jessica Borutski, who would later become an episode director and supervising producer for the fifth season of The Loud House, worked on this episode as an animator.
- This is the only episode of Adult Party Cartoon that Carbunkle Cartoons didn't work on, because they where waiting for their payments from Spümcø for their work on Adult Party Cartoon. Only Big Star and PiP Animation worked on this episode.
- According to Anne Marie, there was going to be a scene in Stimpy's pregnancy where Stimpy would coerce Ren into BDSM sex. Ultimately, such a scene never ended up in production.
Reception[]
Both critics and audiences panned "Stimpy's Pregnant" for its ludicrous concept, poor pacing and characterization of the titular characters. It currently scores a 5.3/10 on IMDb.
Well-known cartoon devotee Thad Komorowski gave this episode three out of five stars on his ''Sick Little Monkeys: The Unauthorized Ren & Stimpy Story'' book. He said in regard to it: "Has its moments and potential, but reeks of "missed chance."". This episode is considered by many to be the worst cartoon series finale and one of the worst TV finales of all time.
