Richard Dale Pursel (born September 17, 1964) is a writer on The Ren & Stimpy Show. In season 1, he was the directors assistant. All his writing credits are from seasons 2 and 3, with one episode for the last season.
He returned to write episodes for the Adult Party Cartoon version of Ren and Stimpy, where he helped write the infamous episode, "Ren Seeks Help".
His other credits include writing episodes for SpongeBob SquarePants during seasons 5-8 and being the story editor for Cartoon Network's Mighty Magiswords.

- He, along with everyone else who worked on the Adult Party Cartoon, is one of the few crew members from the original Ren and Stimpy show that has stated he hated working for the adult revival of the show, and has also hated working with John Kricfalusi.[1]
