Ren & Stimpy Wiki

"Naked Beach Frenzy" is the fourth Adult Party Cartoon episode, which didn't air on Spike. However, it did air internationally.

Plot[]

Ren decides to go see some girls after Stimpy joins their volleyball game. Meanwhile, a psychotic lifeguard tries to get rid of Ren.

Characters[]

Trivia[]

  • The scene in which Ren yells "I'M THE CAT!" before piling himself on the bikini-clad women to outsmart Stimpy, is a reference to "Stimpy's Big Day", in which Ren pretends to be Stimpy just so he could claim the $47M prize all for himself.
  • Ren & Stimpy: The Lost Episodes features pencil tests for this episode.
  • The episode was originally called "At The Beach" when it was pitched to The Ren & Stimpy Show.
  • Fans asked John Kricfalusi to add more beautiful human women for this episode.
    • Katie Rice (who was a big Ren & Stimpy fan and later become a storyboarder on shows like The Mighty B! and El Tigre) did the animation for the beach women, and did the voice for one of them. She was also sexually harassed by John K.
  • This is the only censored Adult Party Cartoon episode.
  • John Kricfalusi and Katie Rice's names can be seen in the autograph book.

Reception[]

"Naked Beach Frenzy" was poorly received by critics, fans of the original cartoon, and audiences for its unfunny humor, and excessive inappropriate imagery. In later years, it was also derided for the inclusion of the soap girl who was modeled after Katie Rice, who was one of John Kricfalusi's victims. Currently, it has a 5.7/10 on IMDb.

Despite negative reception, well-known cartoon devotee Thad Komorowski was more favorable on the episode, giving it four out of five stars on his Sick Little Monkeys: The Unauthorized Ren & Stimpy Story book.
