  • The Fire Chief is loosely based on John Kricfalusi's animation mentor, Ralph Bakshi, who later got to voice the Fire Chief in the Adult Party Cartoon, whose appearance was altered to resemble him.
  • According to the DVD commentary for "Rubber Nipple Salesmen", the Fire Chief's catchphrase was inspired by John Kricfalusi's father, who used to say "I've had it up to here with you, and your hijinks!" to his son.
